Last night, the North Arlington Fire Department held a department-wide drill at a local elementary school. Members, equipped with breathing apparatus, were split into teams and challenged to complete search drills and hose drags down darkened hallways designed to replicate the conditions they may face at an actual fire scene.
The training also focused on air management, with members challenged to make their bottles last as long as possible. This provided a valuable baseline for understanding how to conserve air while performing strenuous tasks in high-stress environments.
The NAFD thanks all of the members and officers who participated and contributed to making this monthβs drill both challenging and rewarding. Ongoing training like this ensures our firefighters are always prepared to protect the Borough of North Arlington.
