On this day 24 years ago, members of the North Arlington Fire Department were called to the World Trade Center site to aid the FDNY in the aftermath of the attacks on September 11, 2001. What they encountered was a tragedy unlike any other, a moment in history that continues to shape our nation and our fire service.
We will never forget the sacrifices made by the first responders, civilians, and military personnel who gave everything that day. Their courage, selflessness, and resilience remain a source of inspiration to all of us who serve.
Today, the North Arlington Fire Department joins our community and our nation in remembering those we lost and thanking those who answered the call when it mattered most. We stand united in ensuring their memory endures for generations to come.
